Travelling to Sri Lanka

Leave the hotel (early morning) for Kandy. En route, visit Pinnawela elaphant orphanage to see the baby elephants being fed. Upon reaching Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and drive around the city with a visit to a gem museum. Have lunch at a hotel of participants choice. On return, visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens. Reach Colombo by evening.
For the entertainment of the adventure loving, visit Sigiriya, the fortress in the sky. Leave the hotel (early morning) for Dambulla. En route, visit Pinnawela elaphant orphanage. Visit the Dambulla cave Temple in the afternoon and stop at a hotel of participants choice. Finally visit the famous rock fortress in Sigiriya. Upon completion, return to Colombo by evening.
Leave the hotel (early morning) to Bentota. Visit a turtle hatchery and spend some time on the beach. Observe local life and witness traditional toddy tapping. Evening boat trip along the Bentota river and upon completion, return to Colombo.
Colombo Leave the hotel and proceed on a city tour. Drive around Colombo. Visit the old parliament, the Galle face Green, the Fort area, the market, bazaar, a Buddhist temple, a Hindu temple, a Catholic church, the Colombo Museum. The Town Hall building, BMICH, elite residential areas, and a few shopping malls (ODEL / House of Fashion / Beverly Street)
Leave the hotel at 7.00am and proceed to Pinnawela. Visit the Elephant orphanage and watch baby elephants being fed and bathed. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 2: Breakfast and visit Hakgala Botanical Gardens and upon completion, proceed to Colombo via Kitulgala. En route a chance to enjoy white water rafting at Kitulgala and visit the location where the famous ‘Bridge over the River Kwai’ was filmed. Reach Colombo by evening.
