Dean's Message

 

The Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo is committed to excellence in undergraduate and postgraduate education, research and innovation, and the provision of healthcare services. Our faculty is excellent in Ayurveda, Unani and traditional systems of medicine in Sri Lanka blend with integrative medical approaches. We are looking forward to welcoming excellent record numbers of
students to the faculty for undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the coming years. Faculty will be using a mixture of online and in-person methods of teaching and learning. It is hoped that it will be possible for more foreign students can be engaged in their studies through this pedagogical teaching and learning design model. I hope we can continue to provide our students with an excellent clinical-
based educational experience, and intellectually stimulating courses toward building a globally recognized qualified medical physician

Professor. Pathirgae Kamal Perera BAMS (Hons) (Colombo), MSc (USJ), Ph.D. in Pharmacology (PR China), is a Professor, Faculty of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. He specialized in Pharmacology, Therapeutics, and Clinical Immunology. He certified and trained in Pharmacovigilance and Drug safety in the WHO Collaborating Centre of Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC).
